Hi, I’m Jen!
My name is Jennifer Anderson. I am the lead photographer and owner of Boudoir By J Anderson in Mesa, AZ, and have been a portrait and headshot photographer for over fifteen years now. I discovered intimate photography about six years ago, and it has since become my passion.

Boudoir By J Anderson Studio is situated in a private residence with a prime location off Crismon and the 60 in East Mesa, AZ, The private studio offers an unparalleled experience in luxury and sophistication. This beautifully renovated private sanctuary features meticulously designed sets, a dedicated hair and makeup station, and an intimate reveal/viewing area that enhances the overall experience for our clients.
Safety and security are paramount, and frosted windows, robust metal security doors, and cutting-edge ring cameras ensure peace of mind throughout the session. Natural light pours into the studio, illuminating exquisite wood flooring and an inviting atmosphere. Guests can unwind by the tranquil pool and spa, or indulge in refreshments at the snack and beverage station.
Our decor includes a lavish wine-colored couch and an impressive 600+ piece lingerie and shoe closet, showcasing an extraordinary collection including the infamous “red bottoms.” The studio is adorned with high-end finishes, featuring quartz countertops and a striking St. Andrew’s Cross, complemented by mesmerizing neon lighting. The elegance is accentuated by a clawfoot tub, soaring 14’ high ceilings, a rejuvenating rain shower, and a grand seven-foot picture window that frames the experience in luxury.

Our process begins with a complimentary phone consultation, where you can ask questions and share your vision. This initial conversation often leads to clients feeling inspired, with many choosing to book their Experience right then and there. Following your booking, we provide an optional 30-minute consult to help you prepare, ensuring that every detail aligns with your desires.
You'll also receive our Boudoir By J Anderson Preparation Guide, a resource designed to equip you with the knowledge needed to make the most of your shoot. We focus on understanding what you want and collecting your preferences in a personalized questionnaire that ensures your Experience is truly about YOU.

Plan to spend the day with us at Boudoir By J Anderson for an unforgettable Experience that lasts up to 7 hours, from the moment you step into our studio until the reveal of your stunning images.
Your day begins at 9 AM on weekdays, leading you through a luxurious journey of hair styling and makeup. To make the most of this day, please arrive with a clean, moisturized face and clean, dry, or already styled hair. While our Transformation Team works their magic on you, we'll assist in selecting your outfits, ensuring you feel confident and beautiful.
Most Experiences feature two looks, plus full access to our Client Closet, which includes over 600 exquisite lingerie pieces in sizes XS to 6XL. If you're looking to elevate your look with heels, we have over 100 pairs available to borrow, accommodating sizes 5-13! To help curate your perfect wardrobe, we ask that each client bring at least 1-2 outfits. Not sure what to pack? Bodysuits and matching bra and panty sets offer a feminine flair, while boxers and tanks provide a relaxed yet stylish vibe. The more options you bring, the more versatility we can create.

As soon as hair and makeup are complete, we’ll dive right into your photoshoot, which usually lasts about 60 minutes. Expect us to guide you through poses and expressions, ensuring you feel comfortable and empowered in front of the camera. By the end of the day, you may find yourself pleasantly sore from all the movement—consider it a workout with an incredible reward!

After our shoot, we will break for lunch for about 60 minutes. There are many great restaurants nearby. When you return to the studio, we will begin your Image Reveal and ordering Session! This appointment can take up to 2 hours. This is where you see your images for the first time, make sure you love them, and choose your favorites! We will help you select which photos you would like to purchase and how you would like to display them at home.
Giving these as a gift? We've got some great options for that, too! This will be your only opportunity to order. We do not offer online galleries or multiple ordering appointments. Come prepared to upgrade.
Expect your printed products to arrive 8 weeks after your ordering session.

So, What Do I Need to Book?
THE EXPERIENCE FEES START AT $750 FOR BOUDOIR AND $1000 FOR EROTIC & KINK AND ARE REQUIRED TO RESERVE A SPACE ON OUR CALENDAR.
The Experience Fee may be paid in two ways: in full or in half. If you decide to split the fee, the first half is due to reserve the day on the calendar. The second half will be automatically withdrawn in 30 days. Your date will be locked in once the Experience Fee is paid in full and your photography agreement has been signed.

How Much Can I Expect to Spend at my Image Reveal & Ordering Session?
Since we have not created your images, it is hard for us to give you an exact figure as to what to expect. Some clients come to us and get a basic album, while others want it all and invest several thousand in our top Collections.
We discuss starting pricing during the phone consultation. You can purchase from our Collections Menu or a la carte. Both menus will be sent to you after you complete your booking process. We can say this: if you are looking for a "quick shoot" or "just a few images," this is probably not the studio for you. Boudoir By J Anderson offers a luxurious, full-day Experience and will show you over 100+ final images that may be printed on handmade art. This Experience is an investment in you, worth its weight in gold. You'll never tire of looking at your images or forget how the Boudoir By J Anderson Experience made you feel.
Because this experience is an investment, we offer several different payment plan options to make this easy. You can split up the cost of any of our products via our interest-free in-house pre-payment plan, "The Boudie Bank," and make smaller monthly or bi-weekly payments towards your purchase leading up to your shoot. You can also get financing through one of our payment plan companies. Most clients book 6-18 months in advance and make little monthly payments as they go, so they are paid in full by Experience Day and have nothing to worry about. With the Boudie Bank (our pre-experience payment plan) you could walk away with one of our Premium Collections for less than $200 month!

How Do I Pay for the Experience Fee and Images?
Setting up your Boudie Bank
YOU HAVE THE OPTION TO EITHER SET UP YOUR BOUDIE BANK OR PAY IN ONE FULL PAYMENT WITHIN 10 DAYS OF BOOKING.
Option 1: We will set you up on a bi-weekly, monthly, or customized automatic payment plan leading up to your shoot. This way you are paid in full before your Experience and have nothing to worry about. This must be set up with in 10 days of booking if you are not paying in full.

Option 2: You have up to 10 days after booking to pay in full, in one payment which will save you 3%. PayPal Credit can be a great option for this.

What would I Do With Boudoir Portraits?
We truly believe that boudoir is the best gift you can give yourself. You capture your essence as you are now, in this time. On the days you need a reminder of the strong, beautiful, confident person that you are, there will be a collection of amazing portraits to look upon. We love it when clients come to me for themselves! The stunning art we create together will boost your self-esteem and confidence. That should be celebrated! Your Experience and portraits will help you reclaim your confidence and sense of self; two things that are often lost as we get consumed with our lives, jobs, families, and routines. Unleash your inner God/Goddess and own what makes you unique. Boudoir Portraits also make amazing engagement, wedding, birthday, divorce, and anniversary gifts or do what we do and keep them all to yourself.

What if I Don't Have Anyone Special to do these Photos For?
While a lot of clients decide to do a session as a birthday/anniversary/wedding gift we'll let you in on a secret...that's just an excuse most people use to help garner the courage to do one! Almost all of the humans we photograph end up telling us that they were ultimately doing the shoot for themselves! They wanted to feel good in their own skin. For most, it was something they'd wanted to do for a long time, so using the excuse of a gift for a partner allowed them the extra incentive to actually book. You are allowed to treat yourself to something special. Honestly, it shouldn't be about them. It should be about you. You deserve the opportunity to feel wonderful in your own skin!

Is the Studio Accommodating?
We want to be sure that all clients find our studio accessible and accommodating. Our studio currently features wide doors and a single first-floor level. We are also scent free and only utilize natural light. Please let us know ahead of time if you require specific accommodations.

I Need My Images by ___ date. When Should I Book?
Most clients book 4-6 months in advance, but some book the following week. It all depends on how soon you’d like to come in. If we are accommodating a special date such as a birthday or anniversary, please keep in mind that it can take up to eight weeks for printed orders to arrive, so please schedule accordingly. We can book as far out as 18 months.

Can a Spouse/Friend/Mom Come to My Experience or Ordering Session?
In theory this sounds like it would be fun, but we find that sometimes when there is an audience, our clients hold back. We really want you to let loose, have fun, and enjoy this time and not worry about entertaining your guest. We promise you that our team is the best around and you will feel so comfortable in our space! We believe this time is for you to be pampered and focus on YOU with no distractions!
Our services are best delivered in a 1 on 1 atmosphere with you complete undivided attention. If you need special assistance or a support person, please let us know ahead of time so we can make the necessary accommodations.

Can You Make Me Look Thinner?
First off, you are amazing just the way you are! We do flatter you with hair and makeup, a wardrobe that complements your figure, and amazing lighting and posing techniques to highlight your best ass-ets (see what I did there?).
We are not a fan of heavy photoshopping. Don't get us wrong, we will gladly remove all of your bruises and pimples, but we don't want to over manipulate your body to make you look like someone you are not. We already live in a time where we are consumed with unrealistic bodies in the media. We want to show you that you are beautiful as you are, now.

What About Retouching?
Professional retouching is included in every Boudoir By J Anderson Experience. Not only do we remove minor blemishes, like bruising and pimples, but we also offer retouching on things like cellulite, scars, small tattoos, stretchmarks, etc that you may want removed.
Honestly most of our clients are WOW-ed at how amazing their images look straight out of camera and opt at little to no retouching. It's all a very personal decision and one that we leave up to you once you have viewed your images. We DO NOT remove tan lines or correct skin tone from tanning beds or spray tans. In fact, we ask that you do not spray-tan before your shoot.

I'm Not Very Photogenic. I Don't Know How to Pose.
Don't you worry! We've got you! Here's another little secret...99% of our clients come into a session scared about not knowing how to pose.
We will never ask you to "look sexy." We have other ways of pulling that look out, most of the time without your even knowing. We have been photographing humans for years. We are trained to know what angles look best on different body types. Heck, we'll even demonstrate the poses for you. We shoot clients of all shapes and sizes so, if you want to show off your cleavage but not your post-partum pooch, we'll make sure we are using angles, lighting, and positioning to work in your favor. Let's show off the "girls" while minimizing the belly! Yes...we can do that!
It is our job to bring out the best you. The right photographer can take awesome photos of ANY human no matter his/her shape, size, or experience!
